What happens to computers that are considered outdated at a store?

like… whenever a computer is considered outdated and can no longer be stocked on the shelf, where do they go to? I’ve been looking everywhere just to figure out if there’s some back-stock store that sells the overstocked computers that arent up to date, but have had little to no luck (probably just some bad wording on my part)
maybe someone knows and could post a link up, i’d love to see where they go to (and maybe get in on a decent deal)

I have two computers, on running windows 7, which has the files that I want to transfer, and one running windows XP which I would like to transfer the files to. I want to create a temporary network to share two large folders (~10 gb) between the computers. I’m not the greatest at networking and need a complete walkthrough. Thanks!

I want to buy a laptop for a friend but I’m pretty stupid when it comes to IT stuff..
What does a processor do and how do you know if one is faster than another? What does the hard disk do and does it affect computer speed? What does the DDRAM do, how much is a good amount and does it affect computer speed?
I think those are the main specs I see everywhere where laptops/computers are sold.
So yeah basically I just want to know how the main components of computers work so I know what to buy and which deals are More >

I have always been very interested in computers, but don’t know where to learn more about them. Are there any certain classes I could take maybe in high school or college that could help me with their history, how they are made, how they work, how I can make programs( and other things) with them, and just about everything about computers. What does it take to become a computers and science major?

Just wondering. Don’t know if its something I should do. I mean, I fix slowed down computers, regisrty cleaner, defrag, etc. And I know a bit about computers in general like how much ram a computer needs to run programs, what kind of video card to get for this particular game I’m running, and, what kind of processor, how to replace a powersupply etc. Is this the area for me?
