Okay, so I’m going out to lunch tomorrow with this guy. It’s how we’re going to meet. Well I’ve never really gone out to lunch with a guy like that so I don’t really know how to not make it awkward or anything. Also, I don’t even know where we’re meeting yet. So does anyone have any tips for me? I put this in the dining out because we actually would be dining out. But yeah, tips would realllly help me out.
A customer’s needs for a restaurant?

As a customer, what do you look for when going to a restaurant, whether it is fine dining, or a casual/fine dining restaurant. What kind of ambiance is would you preffer? Please explain with as much detail as possible. Also, what would you look for in a breakfast restaurant that would close at around noon? For those with busy schedules (work, kids, school, etc.), what would you want out of a restaurant of such style in order to accomodate to you when you can’t make it during open hours?
Anyone know of any pizza places open til like 12?

I remember as kid when me and my family of 5 would go dining out my dad would always leave 1-5 dollars.
I try to pay the 20% because i know what waiters and waitresses have to go through.

What are you ordering?

Does it strike anyone as odd that when dining out the people you are with typically ask “what are you ordering” – - which influences their decision if they were planning to order the same menu item. It’s as if the need to be unique is more important than ordering what they really want even if it’s the same as your order. I see this behavior when dining with friends, co-workers, family —– basically individuals that won’t ever be tasting my entree; as to eliminate the idea that now we are hedging & have more items to try.
