I’m looking to start my own business in either salt lake city or park city and I’m just looking for ideas from locals or people who travel to the area a lot. There are no right or wrong answers, just seeing if there are things that haven’t crossed my mind. What does the area, A) Not have? B) Have very few and could use more of? C) Have but lack quality? I wanna start a business making cookies. I usually make them on a stick and instead of using icing to decorate, I melt chocolate and use that. I use chocolate because a lot of my friends don’t like icing. I think I’m pretty good at it and I make then from scratch. My family likes them and I recently made 40 crosses for a baptism of my parents’ friend’s son. I’m suppose to pick a research topic for a class about a local problem within the Chicago land area. I’ve thought writing about the problem with Wal-Mart taking over businesses or the vast amount of public surveillance in the city. I need more problems to pick from, so please help me identify more.

Are there any question and answer sites for local businesses? I am looking for something which allows me to ask specific questions about a lawyer or a dentist or a restaurant. So, Yelp doesn’t cut it for me and Quora, Fluther, Ask.com, Vark, Yahoo answers are too generic.
