To people who have inside pets: Is it hard to keep your house clean when you have pets that live inside?

I ask this because I have never really had a pet that was kept in the house–unless you count goldfish. A few times when I was a kid, we did keep a cat in the house, but mom always ended up putting it back outside because she didn’t like having an animal in the house. I have known some people who keep dogs and cats inside, and their houses are pretty clean–but maybe they just clean house religiously.

I have 6 Chihuahuas and 2 cats, love ‘em all, especially the youngest pup, he thinks he’s my daughters baby brother or something, he’s so much like a kid.

We have a family dog named Rocky, who is half border collie and half siberian husky. I have two hermit crabs, Atlantic and Pacific. I have a Syrian hamster named Snowball. I also have to parakeets named Jackson and Madison. My sister, Stephanie has a beta fish named Lane and a cat named Autumn. My other sister, Brittany, has a dwarf hamster named Cheerio and a cat named Melody.
Is there a safe way to color a pets hair?

I know this would only work on a light colored animal (maybe only a white one) …
We saw a lady on television that had colored her poodle pink. I think she said she used Koolaid and mixed it in with conditioner. Is that safe? If so, how long do you need to leave it in and do you need a special conditioner or is human conditioner acceptable?

I think they should feed them dead ones! D: Not alive, that’s torture. True, it’s nature but we also have the option of buying dead mice and stuff.
How much does petco charge to trim your pets nails?

I have a cat and i have tried trimming her nails with a small machine that’s like a sander, she’s okay with the noise but when i put her nails near the machine she won’t sit still. I hear that Petco has nail trimming but their website doesn’t specify how much.

I have always wanted a turtle but I really don’t know how easy or hard they are to take care of. I was wondering what is an easy pet to take care of that can be held, is inexpensive, and can be put in a tank. Please no fish, pet rocks, birds, or snakes. Also, no hermit crabs because they always die on me.
What is the best way to keep your pets from eating plants?

We have two cats. They are always getting into things, and while I love them, they are starting to make me mad. They love plants the most, and often eat them. Does anyone know a good way to keep them out of the plants? We have tried Cayenne Pepper and those stick lint rollers that will stick to thir fur if they touch it. Thanks a lot.
Also, is there a way to keep them away from fish? They’ve knocked over our fish bowl, but they did survive. That one’s just a longshot.
How come gerbils are illegal to own as pets in the state of California?

Well, but some pet owners unfortunately also release mice into the wild, and bunnies for example, and that doesn’t stop them for being legal as pets.
