Skipped a lot of the basic science courses from HS, will taking Biology and Chemistry in college own me?

I remember taking taking earth science and maybe even life science in 9th grade. I’ve forgot most of the material however. Will this screw me over if I take introductory biology and chemistry courses in college? What are some of the assumed concepts integral to these courses? Or do colleges typically start with the very basics?
Is the invention of plumbing and the toilet science?

Understanding science can aid the process of invention, but, is calling something like toilets, plumbing, TV’s, and airplanes science? My cousins say that there is a thin line between the two and that the words can be used interchangeably. I say the line is not that thin. Taking your understanding of gravity and water pressure to invent the toilet doesn’t make the toilet science. Why can’t anyone answer my question? Is there a thin line between science and technology? Or are they more defined? If you say the toilet and plumbing are more science, tell me how.
What are some good projects and/or presentations for science?

I am doing a science experiment on calories and energy. I want to know if the amount of calories in a food, determines how much energy is gained from it. I need a catchy tittle, please help:-). Mr. K That is funny:-)! But, I need the tittle to be shorter ( wont fit on the board) and catchy. Any more thoughts?
What are three good ideas for science fair?

They have to be seventh grade advanced or eighth grade (preferably eighth grade) level, no baby projects like which paper towel is better or which gum lasts the longest or anything like that. My science teacher likes it to be related to hobbies or activities you enjoy. So maybe something to do with photography or just something that won’t bore a thirteen year old girl to tears. Thanks!

I’m in the 8th grade and we have a science fair at the end of next month…I want to do mine on something really cool. Other people in my class are doing things like a cologne that makes girls more physically attracted to guys or testing if we taste with our noses…I want mine and my partner’s project to be really interesting like those. Any ideas?
