I know what I expect, I just don’t know how to start off answering the prompt. Do I say, “I expect blah blah blah from a college education”? I just can’t think of a good way to start off answering the question.

Seems that from 6am to 9am, and again after 5pm, Yahoo politics is conservative. During the 9am to 5pm period Yahoo is more liberal. Why is that?

There’s really only one major point.
Without the media, the government has no effective way of disseminating its accomplishments, its goals, its problems, its candidates, its programs, its initiatives, etc. The media can also choose what to cover and what not to cover. Remember that the media “don’t tell people what to think, but what to think about.” Because of the First Amendment, the government can’t tell the media what to cover or really stop it from covering anything (unless something like national security is involved). Now the relationship is symbiotic; the media want to cultivate a good relationship with government because newspapers, TV stations, etc. want to be the first and best in their coverage. A good professional rapport with government officials ensures this. BUT the government also relies on the media to inform people about things like taxes, health care, defense, social services, elections and education.
