I am doing a speech on sexual education in primary schools, and I am using Monroe’s Motivated Sequence. Because my audience are my class peers, I was wondering why other college students be concerned about sexual education in primary schools. I would be grateful for any ideas. Thanks.

I am a small business owner and have a health plan with a $10,000 deductable and pay $900 premium. Health care providers will not allow me to change plans (even with existing providers) due to my wife’s pre-existing conditions. What changes in the system would you take as President to provide more affortable health care?

I am applying for University of Michigan State and the application asks a question about secondary education. My question is would secondary education be considered 6-12 or 9-12? I am confused because I am also using the common application which has similar question that states from 9th grade and beyond.

they are pretty cool. but they stink. really bad.
just be sure to clean the cage out at least once a week, and the smell won’t be so bad.

We have a pair of female rats …..
They’re OK as pets … you have to be pretty dedicated to keeping their cage clean … if you don’t, they can really STINK!
They do best in same-sex pairs. If kept by themselves, they get lonely and withdrawn … if kept in opposite-sex pairs … well, you will pretty shortly have more rats than you know what to do with!
Rats are fun and entertaining … they themselves are very clean animals, but they do pee and poo all over the place (they just hate being dirty themselves) so you can’t just let them out in your house to play … they WILL make a mess!
They are very smart animals! If you watch them, you’ll be amazed at what they can do.

rats make great pets. males have a stronger smell than females, but as long as you clean their cage out often the smell wont be overpowering. i have 2 male rats and they dont smell. i clean them out everyday.
my rats are very affectionate towards me. unlike a hamster a rat wont bite you for no reason. and usually most rats wont bite you at all.

I got my first rat when I was about 6 years old, ever since then I’ve never been able to live without them.
In my opinion they are one of the greatest pets anyone could ask for. Because rats are pack animals, they look up to their owner as the leader, and seek the owner’s attention, much like a dog does. Rats are very intelligent animals, very clean, and very gentle.
The only draw-back about having a rat is that they don’t live long enough! LoL
All-in-all, I would most definitely recommend that you get one.

i have 2 male rats and they are absolutly fantastic pets!!! they are very intelligent and extremely friendly.
They do smell alot but if you keep them clean by taking out the mess every other day, put up a few air freshners and keep a window open it keeps the smell down. The smell is just a small thing compared to how brilliant they are as pets.
They need a pretty big cage as they need to excercise and they need to be taken out at least once every day.
once again i hope this information helps as they are the best pets to have (I.M.O)

Rats are wonderful pets – especially for people that are out during the day.
Why do I love rats?
1. They are cute!
2. They are fun to watch, when they are playing with each other.
3. Once tamed, they take you in as a member of their pack – humans are great for climbing!
4. They are very clean animals that will even use a toilet in their cage for the No.2
What don’t I like about rats?
1. They mark their territory by peeing. And they don’t get up to use the toilet for the pee either.
2. They get sick (like a cold (can be deadly for rats) or tumors) very easily.
3. They normally live only for 2-3 years.
What did I learn about having a rat after I got them?
1. They need a really big cage.
2. They need at least 1 hour of playtime outside the cage – every day!
3. Never keep a rat alone – they are pack animals, and no matter how much you play with them, you will never be a substitute for another rat. Better than 2 is 3, as you might get a lonely rat, if one dies…
4. They are cheap pets, as long as they don’t need the vet.
I would reccomend rats to anyone!

Rats are often very sweet and affectionate pets, once they become used to you. They’re intelligent and can be litter trained with patience, and taught tricks. I’ve never had one bite me, though the babies sometimes nibble your fingers
You should definitely get two (same gender of course), since they prefer to be kept in pairs or groups. They’ll also need a good-sized cage, 2 square feet per rat is the minimum recommended.

You want to get two rats, as rats are social animals like us and need a friend.
And yes, I certainly would recommend it. Rats are very sweet animals, very affectionate and cuddly and almost dog-like in nature. They hardly ever bite and rarely are fussy, unlike other rodents you can find. Taking care of them (excluding the cost of vet bills, which is costly for any animal) is inexpensive as well.
However, you need to know exactly how to take care of them. You will need a good, balanced diet for them. http://ratsrule.com/diet.html has a good guide, but you will also need to give them fruits and vegetables and sometimes meat. Rats can eat just about anything, and chances are if it’s good for us it’s good for them (see http://www.petratscanada.com/forbidden_foods.htm for a list of foods they CAN’T eat). Contrary to popular belief, rats do not eat garbage or rotten foods, and it isn’t good for them at all. If you wouldn’t eat it or it isn’t good for you, don’t feed it to your rat. They also need a lab block, with Oxbow and Harlan Teklad being the big names that you’ll hear a lot. You can find those online pretty easily.
As for cages, http://martinscages.com/products/cages/rat/ has fantastic ones. The Rat Highrise is perfect for two rats, but you might find another that’s better for you personally. Watch out, though, some of their cages are painfully small and not suited for anything more than a travel cage. It’s better to get it powder-coated as well. Really, the cage is probably one of your biggest expenses, here. You’ll also need a good bedding. Yesterday’s News (a cat litter) is what I used, but a popular choice is CareFresh. You can use just about anything, though – paper towels, newspaper, etc… but whatever you do, do NOT use pine or cedar. If you’re fond of wood shavings (I never really liked them), you can use aspen. Pine and cedar cause severe respiratory problems in rats as they are severely allergic to it, and it’s not good for other small animals either.
As for the rats themselves, it’s best to get them from a reputable breeder or a rescue/humane society. Rats are getting to be more and more popular pets and breed a LOT, so it’s likely you’ll find one at a humane society. Whatever you do, do NOT get them from a pet store. Oftentimes they’re very ill-bred, unhealthy, and female rats usually end up pregnant when you get them home. Also, pet stores have no idea what they’re doing in terms of rat care, and it’s best just not to contribute to that at all.
Rats also need to be taken out of their cage often as they are very social animals and like to be played with. They aren’t very skittish like hamsters, nor are they incredibly fragile like guinea pigs. Oftentimes, they’ll just sit there in your lap, though some run around and explore things on you. Playing with them on the bed is a great idea if you have other pets and are afraid of them dropping.
Good luck! Check the sources if you have more questions.

Rats are some of the most friendliest animals in the animal world they are interesting to watch, fun to play with, they don’t smell as bad as some people say and the only reason they do is due to the bedding you use
