I have recently decided to quit playing highly competitive sports and need something to occupy my time and keep me in shape. I would like to join a group of people that either just play assorted sports for fun, or a group that works out together. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Is the result of this a society where people take counsel from fools and are amused by learned men? If so, can you see how this is completely backwards? Fools are there to amuse us and learned men are there to advise us; not the other way around, right?

Isn’t it insulting to professional astrologers and people who believe in astrology to put their beliefs under “Entertainment”? Shouldn’t horoscopes and astrology be under “Science” or “Philosophy” rather than under a category which also includes jokes and riddles and other sillyness? I would be insulted if something I took seriously was listed under “Entertainment”.

Drive in your car with an open window and a set of experiments outside in the air. That will make a good wind tunnel. Be careful where you travel. Big empty parking lot would do.
If you have a simple spring scale (like a fisherman’s weighing scale) or a postal scale for small weights, you can measure drag from air flow on model cars.
For experiment, you can use drafting to see what effect nose-to-tail cars will have on air resistance. Stick a single model out in the air and measure drag at various speeds. Then put two side-by-side and measure both. Now put the two cars in line and measure drag force on both. Make sure the cars start at several car lengths apart, then move them closer until almost touching.
If you can measure fine changes, then you can experiment with different shapes of cars, or add spoilers on back deck, open vent holes in nose, etc.
