then, do so many knock the imagination & informed speculation as unscientific elements of the modern scientific method?
To my mind, human imagination helps lead to the “right” Q’s which lead to the right A’s : like, new models & theories in science that describe more accurately, more comprehensively, and more usefully the natural world, all leading to new technologies.
This Q could be asked in the philosophy category, but I elected to ask it in the general science and mathematics category.

How will government run health care affect the cost & ability to get an MRI?

I had a brain tumor removed about a year ago & I need to receive MRI’s every 4 months to verify that the tumor is not returning. These MRI’s end up costing me about $100/month (co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles) with the insurance I have through my employer. How will this change with government run health care? Will I still be able to get MRI’s this frequently? Will they cost me more?

I know most computers come with this capability, but there are surely many old PCs out there still in circulation that are without this option. Anybody have some hard stats from the last year or two?

I do know someone who has the same ability who travels back and forth to Japan to teach English. I also have thought of import/export, though I don’t know much about it. Being an antiques scout/buyer was suggested to me. I doubt I could compete in the photoessay/travel writer category. Do you have any ideas? Thanks.
