I’ve an aunt who hates me for no reason. She will be very good to me in front of my parents but when they are not around she yells at me even if my open my mouth. There are so many other things I can talk about. I never told about this to anyone in my family. Now I’ve started being mean to her and she is around telling the whole family about how mean I’m.

Lets just say that nearly everytime you overhear their conversation with other family members (and they do NOT know you are listening), they are talking bad about something you do to the other family member. Would this upset you after a while?
This is what my brother always does. He is obsessed with gossiping/trashing others behind their backs to other people. None of it is mature or based on “real” problems, but anything small he can use to jab at the person about.

How to get through a family gathering?

Tomorrow I am visiting family. I am not a fan of big gatherings, and nobody my age will be there. Generally speaking, I am quite social and I love hanging out with my immediate family. However, big get-togethers where there is nobody near my age are somewhat boring I am strangely shy around my relatives, even though I am quite loud in school/around friends. Does anybody have any tips for me?

Should i allow my boyfriends family to stay at our small condo right after i deliver our son?

My boyfriend and I have a small three bedroom Condo and are expecting our first child. His family lives out of state and wants to stay at our place a week after I deliver our son it would be his mom dad and sister. Would people be allowed to stay with us as far as germs go? And is that too soon to have people around our newborn? I feel rude telling them to stay at a hotel but my boyfriend is intimidated by his mother and never will speak up to her. Please help!
What is the term for when family and friends get together to help a loved one?

I was talking to a friend, and somehow we got on this topic… And neither of us can remember what the term for this is. It’s like a type of group-therapy for somebody struggling with a problem, but the help comes from friends and family. The friends and family usually try to express how the problem affects the person’s life and to try to solve the problem. We just can’t remember what the technical term for it is. It seems like most of these meetings are to usually help somebody with smoking or alcoholism.
How to convince your parents to let you skip a family even?

Today my parents are making me go on a boat with family friends. I dont even know them that well, and I really do not want to go. My friend invited me over for a pool party to hang out. My parents will not let me go to that no matter how hard a try and ask. Every time I beg, my dad says “If you talk one more time about this, you will not be able to hang out after school on fridays for the rest of the year.” What am i supposed to do?
