I had to log a journal for AP US Government and Politics this summer, but I was gone for the majority of it. What were the major events that were discussed in the news that happened this summer? I basically only know about the debt ceiling and the Iowa Straw Poll… It has to be related to government and politics.

In the interest of balance I want a news source from both ends of the political spectrum. My primary news source is limited to the internet. I live in a rural area without access to high speed internet so can’t/won’t spend the (loooong) time necessary for video sources. I tried Fox news but they’re all but entirely video. I do not watch television because of personal attributes and values. .
How can we as a nation restore honor and respectability/civility in the news media?

What ever happened to telling the truth? or giving credit where credit is due? Any person willing to enter politics today has to have extremely thick skin to even think about getting in the game. The news media (or even programs like Saturday Night Live) are all in it to anilliate anyone that get’s in their way of their agenda. I’m sick of dishonesty and spin of our news media outlets.
Everytime I post a comment on a news story on Facebook everyone sees it. How do I stop this?

I don’t want people to see every comment I write on a news post on their wall. How do I stop this without blocking people or doing it to every comment. Is there just a way to prevent it always unless I want people to see it? I don’t see this drop down. It only says delete comment on the side.
