I am a small business owner and have a health plan with a $10,000 deductable and pay $900 premium. Health care providers will not allow me to change plans (even with existing providers) due to my wife’s pre-existing conditions. Why do people get so excited about sports like Football, Basketball and so on?

I mean to me the only difference between a Football player and a few guys playing catch is that the Football player makes allot of money and he’s all dressed up in protective gear with a larger crowd cheering him on. I never really cared for sports, but for some reason I do like Martial Arts. I always wondered why people get so excited it.

Is the result of this a society where people take counsel from fools and are amused by learned men? If so, can you see how this is completely backwards? Fools are there to amuse us and learned men are there to advise us; not the other way around, right?

Ok so my youth from my church are planning on throwing a huge new years party. We do this every year. We have around 150 people in our youth and more people bound to come from other cities to join us. Who doesn’t want to talk about it, or even doesn’t want to vote. What can you say to those people? Should they get more involved? Or are they smart for not having interests in politics?
