What book on politics have read and instantly felt like you learned something?

Contemporary, not classic.
There are really so many authors I could put here, but really all three Fareed Zakaria books are just amazing, “The Future of Freedom” sounds like a boring book, but it is the best piece on democracy and history of that I have read.
And Barry Goldwater “Conscience of a Conservative” really taught me what a Conservative thought and really felt about how society should be run.

Would I be able to double major in education and something relating to science?

I want to be an elementary teacher in the future, but my parents are dead set against it. I was hoping I could major in elementary education and take another major in a science so my parents would be satisfied. Is this too much work? I heard your double majors need to relate to eachother, so is this even possible? Thanks.

How do you know the different between normal pregnancy pains, and something more serious?

The past to days I have noticed a little bit of pain in my left side. It started last night when I was yelling for my dogs (they were outside and I was having them come back in). I am only 6 weeks pregnant and the Doc won’t see my until the 31st. Is this a normal pain, or should I be concerned? I am afraid it could be a symptom of an ectopic/tubal pregnancy, but I don’t know anything at all. This is my first pregnancy and I am scared.
How could I relate this to something currently happening in Politics?

I have to write a short essay about a Law 27 from the book, “48 Laws of Power” by Robert Greene. I have to relate the law to something in currently happening in politics. The law is: Play on people’s need to believe to create a cult like following.
It is basically describing a person of power, or a person trying to achieve power, convincing many other people to follow them. Im all arenas of life: business, fashion, politics, art…anything.
Any help would be appreciated!

My family and I want to do something tomorrow. We live in the Bay Area. We want to drive somewhere and do something we have never really done before/go somewhere we haven’t been before. It can’t be too expensive, and it has to be something that doesn’t need major planning, considering it is tomorrow. I would really appreciate any suggestions! Thanks :]
