Why do pets owners spay or neuter their pets?

I don’t have pets or experience in pets either but I think it is cruel to prevent the pets from procreating. I heard because it is going to be more expensive to take care of them, but I see that a bit selfish from human. Can any please clarify the vision to me? Very interesting answers.. I cannot choose the best answer..Thanks all. I’m putting into vote.
How do I ask guests (family) their arrival and departure date?

We have family from GA who will stay with us and they play to attend the inaugural events downtown. They have yet to tell us exactly when they plan to arrive and how long they plan to stay with us. When I ask them the answers are vague like we are leaving on Sat or Sun. Well, that could mean anything. Since it’s a 10 hour drive, that could mean they driving straight and will arrive the same day or staying overnight at a hotel along the way. It’s becoming a little annoying to tell you the truth.
Why do some people still breed their pets?

With all the dogs (millions) dying in shelters every year because of not enough homes, why do some…..people….. still insist on breeding their pets? When only 1 dog in 10 gets a permanent home, why do they still do backyard breeding? Someone please tell me. Why? Please be aware, about 25% of the dogs in shelters are purebred. has anyone ever sold their reptile pets to their local pet stores? If so, what store? How much and what? Do you think my reptile store will buy it from me if i sell my leopard geckos at a good price, like 2 baby leopard geckos for 30 dollars? When they are worth like 30 bucks each! Do you think they will accept it? How much do the stores usually get for their reptiles?

How can you find out when a company is upgrading their computers and throwing the old ones away?

I’ve heard and seen alot of companies just throw away their computers when they are upgrading, and they are always gone after about the first few hours. Though how can that many people actually know when the company is upgrading and throwing away their computers short of having one of the system administrators as a friend?

I’m trying to fix up two bikes, and I wanted to know if Sports Basement was any good at bike repairs. What are some of their service rates, because i checked on another shop and it would cost me $35 for a checkup and $100 for a tune up. What kind of prices would Sports Basement have?
