What does this news article really say about US intentions in Iraq?

There’s such genuine concern for Iraq by the U.S. government that military personnel and equipment can be shipped there in mere months, but it has been YEARS since the military operation was declared a “success” after ousting Saddham Hussien and the U.S. can’t divert a bit of change from that billions upon billions spent on the military to get Iraqis some decent electricity? Then again forget it. This article is probably advertising to lure contractors to set up privately owned electrical power plants.
sfaa: Talk about blah blah blah. Your answer is borderline violation, but it seems you’re not the type to care much about violations if they concern human rights.

Blah blah blah. The US declared success in bringing down Hussein’s government, not instantly rebuilding and securing Iraq. But then again facts don’t matter to you people.
You have no idea how money is being spent in Iraq. You have no idea what is going on with the power grid. You have no idea what the Iraqi government’s plans for the power grid are. You have no idea how much equipment is being brought in to bolster the power grid.
You know nothing. You assume everything.

Sfaa:And whose pockets do those billions line?It ain’t Iraqi pockets that’s for sure.Maybe one day you’ll understand.

I read the article, so, is it that much worse since the US invasion, or is that pretty much the same as it was before, or maybe better? Articles like the one you cited since they don’t put anything in perspective. I assume it’s worse but I can only guess as to the degree.
In any case, it would certainly be in the best interest of the US to get the power up and running. It would help stabilize the country as well as the region. It can’t be as hard as it appears. And you’re right, with the billions we’ve pumped into the war we should have the resources to get the power flowing.
