The sun is too hot or the weather is too cold, there isn’t enough potable water, diseases ravage mankind, food is scarce, etc.

We aren’t a particularly tough species- the sun kills us, we need just the right amount of water, our dietary needs are very specific, and we have no defense against predation using just our own strength… if we weren’t tool users, we’d be a prey species. We’ve lost our nails and the ability to easily grasp prey with teeth, and without them, we can’t easily damage prey.

if you look at the whole world, the temperature differs wherever you go, and in some places, it can be too hot, or freezing. we have to go through thousands of different casualties caused by the earth like floods, hurricanes, monsoons, snow storms, all that. millions of people die from starvation because there isn’t any place where they can plant food or find good water. the environment won’t treat us any better than the animals just because we’re a 100% developed species.

If we continue to pollute and chop down rain forests, things like KAtrina and the Tidal Wave off Malaysia will keep on happening.
