What is the best way to travel to London from NYC?
Okay, so I’m planning on going to Europe this summer and I’m very excited to see all the Beatle history!! And I’m thinking of traveling at night so, what would be the best airline? Or even, should I travel in the day instead? Is it worth is the get first class tickets, even though they are very pricey? And what is the best airline to travel on? Any advice from personal experience or whatever else would be great!!

Beatle History in London? No , go to Liverpool
That’s where the beatles were from, it is a 2 hour train journey from London, Liverpool was capital of culture last year (For the European union.)
The Liverpool accent (scouse) may be hard for you to understand.
Here it is, its the only proper real scouse accent i could find on Youtube, not to sure what the guy is talking about though i think its a prank call. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=M8-aaYESfrM
Liverpool is a violent city and is know for being White trash, however there are nice people in liverpool and the City center is safe.
Hope i Helped!

I don’t know your budget but business class seats are quite affordable NYC-LHR due to heavy competition. If you book well in advance (1 month or more) you can get hold of discounted business class seats. As for airline I have traveled SAS and British Airways. Both very good but BA’s business class (club world) is better because of the flat bed.
I would take a day flight if you’re in economy and a night flight if you are in business. Economy on a day flight with an exit row seat isn’t bad at all. You have movies to watch, meals to eat and of course drinks.
As for if it’s worth business class or not, you must decide. Some people like to endure a cheap trip and save the money for activities on the destination. Others (like me) want a comfortable trip with lounge access, fast track and a comfortable trip.
Have a great trip!

I suggest a day flight. You’ll arrive in London at night and can go straight to bed. That will help you to start adjusting to the time change. If you fly overnight, you’ll arrive in the morning and tire fast. It’s hard to keep going all day. If you sleep during the day, you risk being bright and alert at night when you want to sleep.
First class is great if you have the bucks. However, business class is a very good but much less expensive option. On the better airlines, you get a lie-flat seat, lots of room, and good food.
I suggest Virgin Atlantic for the service and the lie-flat business class seats. British Airways would be my second choice. I try to avoid domestic airlines because their service usually is not as good.

Well, I have never actually been to England myself but I plan on going there someday. You sound alot like me, being that you are interested in finding out some Beatle history:) I too want to go there for the same exact reason. Judging from what one of my friends who has gone to London has told me, England has alot of Beatles souvenirs and being a Beatles fan I have read and heard The Beatles say themselves that Liverpool is the place to go:) As far as airlines and whether or not you travel during the day or at night is going to depend on which flight goes from NYC to London whether its during the day or at night. I personally prefer to fly during the day, but flying at night is cool too because you can see the lights from each city through the window. Also keep the time difference in mind:) I would try going to http://www.expedia.com and see what they have available for flights. Good luck and I hope I helped!!
