What is the difference between super cars, sports cars and muscle cars?

Why is it that Top Gear considers the Audi R8 as a super car? Is it a super car? I think it is a sports car, a Porsche 911 rival. And please tell me your favorite cars.

I believe sports cars are for fun driving occasionally that aren’t heavy duty but look cool and drive very well. Super cars are weird looking racing cars (or concept cars) that are super aero-dynamic and such for maximum speed. Muscle cars are usually strong, long in length, bad handling sports cars with a whole lot of torque.

super cars are purely racing ones!
sports car is little fast and more fuel economical.
Muscle cars are sheer power eg. Dodge Cars!

well a sports car to me is usually a two seater but it has exceptions like an m3 which a sports tuned model of a car they have so like different engine suspension. a super car is car that has all this in minde from the beginning so like most ferraris and lambos are supercars.. so yes i would consider it a super car. it has like 400 plus horsepower can probably go from 0 60 in 4 seconds and super luxurious interior thats what makes a super car to me

super cars for example R8, has a horsepower from 500 and over, sports cars have decent horsepowers with harder suspension, and etc. sports cars have parts that can handle high speed unlike sedan. muscle cars are classic American cars with 4 gears, and is really fast.
muscle cars can overpower most of the sportscars but is really rare to find a really good ones. but i like sportscars becuase super cars and muscle cars are REALLY EXPENSIVE =))

super cars are for driving at high speed along the European motorway network IE very fast inter-city travel.luxurious too. only very rich people can be in this club.
sports cars are open top 2 seater roadsters,that can with some modification be used for competitive motor sport.hence sports car.
muscle cars are “big banger”, meaning big engined,big bhp cars that are basically crude & rely on brute power!

You can’t take a super car grocery shopping. It’s inconvenient, hard to live with and generally cannot be used for every day driving. Eg Lamborghini Diablo

A sports car is any general road use car that is faster than the average family car. A sports car can be almost anything on the road, WRX, Honda Civic etc

A muscle car is any american tank with a V8 or more. The Mustang is a good example.
