What is the point in arguing about cable news channels?
For years CNN (and others) have been accused of a liberal bias; and for years Fox News has been accused of having a conservative bias.
Why are people so hell-bent on arguing over which is a better news source (Fox vs. CNN), when cable news is probably the worst news source available?
I seem to have noticed this with conservatives especially (perhaps because Fox News is one of the very few news organizations with a conservative bias vs. those with a liberal bias)…many people think Fox is infallible and always factual (even the commentators).
So, restating my question: Why do people insist on arguing over the accuracy of any cable news source (or even the commentators), when cable news is probably the absolute worst way to get any unbiased information?

AMEN!!! Thanks for saying what many of us think everytime we come across this debate.
To answer your question though. People’s understanding of the world and its events are based on what they are told. When they are told something…that info becomes their knowledge, and no one wants to be told they are wrong. By saying Fox is conservative or CNN is liberal….people take it as saying that their knowledge of a subject is wrong. And one thing conservatives and liberal both have in common…no one likes to be wrong.
