Where can I borrow a significant amount of money to start a business?
I need to insure and register my vehicle, pay outstanding ticket, and rent a shop. Then my business-Micro Services Unlimited, can operate legitimately. I have two non-moving violations against my drivers license, that have to be paid in full, to reinstate my license, then permits and local licensing requirements, as well as insurance bonding etc., for business operations, as well as a certain amount of materials needed to stock shop facility. Rental fees for shop location. Utilities for shop/office facility include telephone, water, gas, electric, internet access. Advertising is low cost due to already established clientle list. Realistic info for a business loan or grant info would be appreciated. The amount sought is open for discussion.

I don’t think you will get money up front to pay your tickets. The best place for that if you can’t afford it is “The Bank of Dad.” Once you get that paid off you can try the loan programs at the SBA, assuming you are from the US. http://www.sba.gov Under the SBA is the Small Business Development Centers. They have offices in every state. They have very professional counselors who will help you with your business plan, preparing financial papers, etc. http://www.sba.gov/sbdc
Good luck
