Who was accepted early to the Tisch School of the Arts?
There have only been 20 people in the world to ever be accepted to NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts at the age of 17.
Who were they all?
I mean solely those that applied for music. I am aware that Lady Gaga was one of them. My sister-in-law was also one. I was just wondering who the rest were because I haven’t been able to find a list anywhere.

That number is wrong. My daughter was accepted early decision to Tisch as a dance major her year too. There was one other dancer accepted ED her year but the dance department takes only 30 dancers. CAP 21 takes 60. Other drama studios take a lot more. There are some students that finish high school at 17 not 18. My guess is you are thinking of Stefani Germanotta (aka Lady Gaga)
Funny coincidence, my daughter stayed at the same dorm her freshman year on east 11th street however they are of different age so not the same year.
The bigger question would be how many student attended Tisch at age 17 not 18 because they graduated high school early. There have been many students that have gotten into Tisch ED. Your question makes it sound like that only 20 students ever got in ED or that only 20 students got in at age 17. Both are incorrect.
People applying ED to Tisch have decided they don’t want to go to Juilliard. You have to accept an ED decision. Many don’t apply to Tisch ED because they want a shot at Juilliard. Both schools tend to pool the same applicants in terms of level.
*EDIT for additional: It is my understanding that Lady Gaga went to CAP 21 which is what the musical theater department (part of the Drama department) was back then. Music would be part of Stienhardt not Tisch until recently when the Clive Davis School of recorded music was added to Tisch 7 years ago.
