Why is Fox News the only one willing to criticize Obama?
Some say that Fox News is to the right. But with every other mainstream media source being Pro-Obama for the whole election I think that having only one that has some representation for the right is not asking for a lot.
Besides, I think that Fox News is actually slightly to the left but just seem more to the right compared to how much all the others are to the left. Fox News was even playing Obama commercials between their show.

if all the other mainstream media sources are being pro-obama, it’s because they LIKE obama. just like fox news likes mccain. you watch the news station that represents you and your views, which is why there is more then just one news station.

Fox news is totally fair and balanced like they say. But they do seem right wing. They just give the left equal attention. Left wing politicans don’t like going on Fox because the right will call them on their bs. but they do this to the right wing politicians too.

to answer your question directly, they aren’t. more to the point though, “the media”, including fox, is supposed to report. they aren’t supposed to decide issues for you, criticize opponents or promote their own viewpoint. “the news” is supposed to be a series of facts, not opinions. our nation’s newspapers have an opinion page among many other pages of actual, fact-based news but you seem to say fox news is nothing more than an opinion page, 24-7. journalism is supposed to be nonpartisan.
also i want to point out that your followup is the heighth of hyperbole. every media source, every channel, every radio station, every news outlet has been pro-obama the entire election? come on, now. that is just ridiculous. otherwise, why would i read about obama’s aunt on yahoo news? or his gaff about “bitter” people in every newspaper in america?
as a christian, i’d love to see the media take mccain to task on his own stances. he was a much more liberal person before he tried to get the republican nomination. he has a terrible temper and curses like a sailor, yet he courts the christian right.

FOX is hardly a right wing organization but any program that does not refer to Obama as “Dear Leader” must seem like Republican propaganda.
I thought we might get some serious vetting from the news media after the Saturday Night Live skit mocking them for their kid glove treatment of the Prophet Obama. I believe their feelings were hurt and they were a bit tough on him for about a week.
Their desire to see Obama elected eventually trumped their desire to have a single ounce of credibility.
