Would you stop drinking bottled water if you knew the truth about how it damages the environment?
You know those waters that are marketed as the “cleanest” or “most natural” or “pure” tasting from far away places? They have denied people living in third world conditions access to the only clean water available.
If that is not reason enough, will you stop drinking bottled water knowing that chemicals from plastics leak into that “pure” water you paid too much for?
I gave up bottled water last year and I think it’s a good idea if we all did.

HA!
Bottled water is a total sham, with good advertising people will buy anything. I never bought it myself.

When I first transferred stateside from Canada, I brought a small bottle of Evian water and kept it at my desk. Once when I emptied the bottle, I took it to the coffee room and a co-worker asked “Isn’t it expensive to be drinking Evian bottled water all the time?”, I proceeded to fill the bottle from the water cooler in front of them and said “Not really.”
The bottling companies aren’t denying the people in the third world of clean water as they aren’t bottling the water there. Yes there is a severe problem of access to clean water supplies in the third world but that’s because it’s the third world and they lack infrastructure. If you want to do something about it, go there and build some solar stills , drill some wells and reintroduce them to their own ancient heritage of water harvesting which refills the aquifers.

i have stopped, its simply ludicrous.
i work at an Acme Grocery Store and see hundreds of people a day waste money on bottle water.
its simply stupid, you have that at your home already.
and if you want to take it on the go, but a reusable water bottle for less than a pack of water.
i also find it hilarious when people come in with their reusable bags acting like their making such a difference and buy four cases of water.
good luck :/

Nope. But I will drink more of it if it irritates environmentalists.

I stopped drinking bottled water a couple years ago. My reasons were 1. I drink about 70 ounces a day, that ends up being several bottles and lots of plastic wasted and 2. You never know where the water really comes from.. you’re reasons just add to my own opinion that it isn’t worth it.
I bought a water filtering system and some reusable drinking bottles that we fill up and take with us when we go anywhere.
